Happy Birthday
We send our love and good wishes to Audrey Whitmore on the celebration of her 90th birthday. Some of our church, who are members of the Girl Guiding Trefoil Guild, celebrated the occasion in our centre last week.
Audrey, a member of the Salvation Army who lives in Swanley, shared in our last autumn’s Alpha programme and was often a speaker for our church’s Sisterhood in the 1970’s, 1980’s and early 1990’s.

In this week – may we have faith and hope with the visionary word of the Book of Revelation.
‘And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is
with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will
be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will
be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed
away." ’ Revelation 21:3-

A Day of Prayer & Fasting
Saturday 17th July
At last Tuesday’s church meeting it was agreed to hold a day of prayer and fasting on Saturday 17th July to seek the Lord in regard to seeking new elders over the next few years. During the morning there will be five half hour prayer sessions in the church, each led by an elder, and we are encouraged to come along for at least one of them. The times will be notified later. Fasting could take place from Friday evening to Saturday evening or all day Saturday for those able to fast for a whole day. If this day is unsuitable the church would ask you to consider fasting near to that date, and if there would be medical reasons to prevent you fasting from food the church would ask you to consider giving up something else that day.
